Liturgical Ministry

In liturgical celebrations each person, whether ordained or a layperson, has an office to perform but should only do those parts which pertain to that office by the nature of the rite and the principles of liturgy.

Community Leaders, Lectors, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Ushers, Altar Servers, and members of the Cathedral Choir exercise a genuine liturgical function. They perform their duties with sincere devotion and decorum rightly expected of them by God’s people.
