In the Sacrament of Holy Orders the ordinand vows to lead other Catholics by bringing them the sacraments (especially the Eucharist), by proclaiming the Gospel, and by providing other means to holiness.

Currently, the Diocese of Jackson has nine seminarians.  Three are studying philosophy at St. Joseph Seminary College in Covington, Louisiana; three are studying theology at Notre Dame Major Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana; and three are studying pre-theology in Mexico. Please keep these men in your prayers.
